I never wish to see another winter

ceasethewinter replied to your post: Greetings, Apollo

How do you fare?

I am very well, thank you. And yourself?

I fare very well as well. My Persephone is with me and the Earth is happy, along with me.

Humans are so odd sometimes, they have taken my name for a fragrance line of unusual scents. So very odd

Are you well? You appear slightly crazed.

 It’s been a nice evening, I’m doing fine. How are you?

Well if you are certain. I am doing well. I would ask after your evening but I am uncertain if I would even like to know.

Demeter’s Lament
“A mother roves throughout the land,
Searching for her daughter.
The Earth laid waste, no plant at hand.
She mourns o’er earth and water
Where is the girl, both brave and strong,
Belonged to Sappho’s band;
Who loved to dance and swelled with song
On Lesbos’ golden sand?
The laughter left my graceful girl
Since matriarchy fell;
Seduced by Flowers to an underworld
She lives in man-made hell.
I put my ear close to the earth and hear the signing sound
Of her who’s tied to me by birth
Now captive underground.
But now I know where she is hid,
I’ll not delay one hour
Until from bonds my daughter’s rid
By our own women’s power!
This pomegranate that we share is like our common heart,
and fruit we ate in slavery’s snare
Shall not keep us apart!”
